First Friday: Rest in Peace Friday, September 1, 5pm-8pm Help us kick off our Mourning Season and spend an evening with the spirits! The “princely mansion” comes alive when there is talk of the dead. Stroll all three floors to hear the tales of the original family members that passed away and view our beautiful mourning collection displayed and staged throughout the mansion.
Carter Jackson, Funeral Director with Memphis Funeral Home, will demonstrate the proper Victorian embalming technique and speak on the Undertaking profession during Victorian Era. The presentation will begin promptly at 6pm Harmony Carrigan, Memphis collector, returns with her growing Mento Mori collection of funeralia and post mortem photography.
A “repast” style reception will be at your service, offering something for every soul.

HAUNTED HAPPENINGS Friday, October 27, 6pm-10pm
As Night falls and Darkness descends you are cordially invited to Haunted Happenings at the Woodruff-Fontaine House. Join us this evening as mischief unfolds. Walk the darkened halls as spectral docents lead the way. Hear the stories of people long past, the dead become living for one night only.
Allow gypsies to foretell your future or partake in a live paranormal investigation conducted by Historical Haunts Memphis. Turn of the century Halloween treats will be served while you enjoy your Victorian themed fun.

Woodruff-Fontaine Ghost Tours This is a fantastic and spooky tour of our landmark historic Victorian mansion. Enjoy a unique tour of the dimly lit home with spacial emphasis on the family members who lived and died in the mansion. The stunning architecture and priceless collection of furniture, artwork, and textiles set the mood for this special tour. Your guide will be an experienced paranormal investigator and they will share the experiences, stories, and evidence which has led many visitors to believe that there are still folks at home here at 680 Adams Avenue. Your tour guide will have investigation equipment and we may have activity happen during your tour.
